Orbital Welding

A mechanised shielded welding procedure especially suited for titanium end fittings. A versatile system enabling the welding of thin wall tubing from 3mm to 240mm diameter. Microprocessor controlled weld programs ensure high levels of repeatability, while maintaining consistent quality. Special collets and fixtures are available to suit customer requirements.

Argon Chamber

Because of the high reactivity of titanium and titanium alloys at temperatures above 550°C, additional precautions must be applied to shield the weldment from contact with air. To this end we use an argon purged chamber linked to an automatic purge monitor capable of checking to 5 parts per million purity. The operator is separated from the cleaned component and access is via rubber gauntlets.

Hand Welding

Our coded welders use Tungsten Inert Gas (TIG), Pulse TIG, Orbital TIG and Oxy-acetylene welding of carbon steels, stainless steels, nickel alloys, titanium alloys and aluminium alloys. Mechanised turntables are used where possible to improve weldment integrity and visual appearance.

Brazing

We have extensive experience in Oxy-acetylene and Induction brazing of carbon steels, stainless steels, aluminium alloys and yellow metals. Induction brazing can be assisted by use of a timer based controller with variable output to ensure consistent jointing.
